ANNOUNCEMENT

History

Groundbreaking Ceremony

In 1986 the Bordentown Sewerage Authority was formed to provide a centralized wastewater treatment system for both Bordentown City and Bordentown Township.

A 3.0 million gallon per day treatment plant was constructed located along Blacks Creek at the intersection of Route 206 and Farnsworth Avenue in the township.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

With the completion of the plant and its approval to operate, the old city treatment plant and 2 small treatment plants located in the township were eliminated.

The collection system is approximately 60 miles long and at the present contains 15 pumping stations.
